Aer Lingus Return to Knock Airport

The west of Ireland received a timely boost last week with the news that Aer Lingus is to return to Knock Airport after an absence of ten years. Aer Lingus operated its first flight from Gatwick to Knock on April 6th.

The Knock-London route will operate on a daily basis providing a great new option for business and leisure travellers in the region. The chairman of Knock Airport Liam Scollan has estimated an increase of one hundred thousand passengers per year.

Local businesses will be delighted to hear that an extra thirty five thousand tourists are expected to visit each year meaning an injection of twelve million euro into the economy.
